About Settle It

Settle It is a free site for settling the arguments that never actually get settled — the ones that resurface at every family dinner, group chat, and night out. Food, music, slang, sport, whatever people are wrong about this week. No accounts, no paywall, just a question and a vote.

How it works

A new debate goes up every week — a question with a handful of options to pick from. You vote once, see the live scoreboard update in real time, and can share the result straight to your group chat to drag everyone else into it. When the week ends, the debate is archived with its final score and the next one goes live.

What counts as a debate

Anything people genuinely argue about, as long as it’s fun rather than mean-spirited — the best dish, the better decade of music, which slang term is dying out, who actually wins a hypothetical matchup. Got one? Pitch it on the suggest a debate page.

Why it’s free

No subscriptions, no sign-up walls. The site is supported by a handful of small ad placements that never sit inside the vote itself — see the privacy page for what that means for your data.
